I wanted to understand the material I was working with, so I broke each down into dust and got to know its properties. I then found that the best way to put it back together was glue.

PATHWAYS

Understanding what we walk on.

PATHWAYS was a semester long project where I really got to understand granite, concrete, and asphalt. I broke down the components of each item and attempted to make something new with it. It was a difficult project due to how “un-shapeable” these objects were but I was able to make some interesting things with these items.

Repair

A part of the project was then being able to repair an item with our research item. I thought to repair a sidewalk with the same items it was made from. This ended up being a full circle moment.
